Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer a comprehensive panel of veterinary services which include the following service categories:
Wellness Care
Wellness care includes nutrition counseling, pet behavior, internal medicine, and more. A thorough physical exam is your pet’s best defense in living a healthy life. The physical exam helps detect any abnormalities that can exist and can detect any changes from the previous exams. During routine exams, the doctor will examine your pet’s skin, eyes, ears, and teeth. The doctor will listen to its heart and lungs, feel the abdomen, and check your pet’s joints. Vaccinations will be given and/or updated during the visit, along with blood screenings, urine and fecal tests. The doctor will also discuss your pet’s diet and recommend any preventive care based on the exam. This annual physical helps diagnose problems in the early stages before becoming serious concerns in the future.
Dental Care
Your pet’s dental care is a vital part of its overall wellness. Infections of the teeth and/or gums can infect the kidneys, joints and possibly the heart. Your pet should be evaluated yearly for any signs of dental disease. If a dental cleaning is advised, you can schedule an appointment. Your pet will appreciate your love and attention to good oral health.
Senior Pet Care
Our caring and compassionate doctors understand and recognize that caring for older pets can be tremendously rewarding. We strive to enhance the lives of your older pet by assisting you with any questions and recommendations during this aging process.
Pet Surgery
Both Dr. Lofgren and Dr. Kimery are experienced in a wide range of surgical procedures from spay and neuter operations to the more advanced orthopedic and abdominal surgeries. If your pet requires surgery, you know you are in good hands while at Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is a surgery-free, drug-free, non-invasive treatment that Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital offers its clients. The Class IV Deep Tissue Laser uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. It is used to reduce pain, reduce inflammation, and speed healing. Conditions treated by laser therapy include: wounds, cuts/bites, inflammations, sprains, strains and fractures, and post-surgical healing.
In-house Labratory
For your pet’s health and for your convenience, Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital has an in-house laboratory and a comprehensive pharmacy. We also have a convenient ONLINE STORE for pet owners that have additional needs.
Diagnostic Imaging
Lake Brandt Veterinary Hospital uses diagnostic imaging to help collect information on your pet’s health. The doctor may recommend an x-ray or ultrasound as part of your visit if your pet is experiencing medical concerns.
Microchipping
A lost pet is difficult on both the owner and the animal. As an owner, you can help ensure your pet can be identified and reunited with you by having your pet microchipped. Microchipping is a permanent solution that helps ensure your pet will be properly identified by a veterinarian or animal shelter, and then reunited with you.
